Always a great time and even better meal!
The food was mediocre at best, and certainly not deserving of $30-$40 a plate.... even if I did like the food and would have finished it, I would’ve still been hungry.....
This is my 2nd time dining in, and 3rd time eating here (got some philly cheese steaks to go once). Be prepared to spend money, but the high quality of the food and the fact that its made to order pays for itself. My 1st experience was for my wedding anniversary in July, and it was amazing. Tonight I came for my mother in law's 65th birthday, everything was wonderful! If you follow Cafe Martoranos or Steve Martorano on Instagram, his pictures and video hype you up for yhe next time you go. For appetizers we had the fresh mozzarella and 2 meatball salads. For entrees- I got the cacio de pepe, husband got the veal sinatra, and my in laws got the shrimp scampi and buttermilk fried chicken with macaroni and peas. The service was top notch, I just wish the waiter had some suggestions when it comes to wine or the specials (such as what's very limited). For dessert we had a cannoli, cookies and cream ice cream, and carrot cake.. all of them blew us away! I love carrot cake and like to try different restaurants cake and this was the best carrot cake I've ever had. Our bill for 4 people with tip was a small fortune, but the taste and service was worth it to give my mother in law a memorable experience.
