More of a canteen then a cafe, the R2 Cafe Russell is, "fit for purpose". With long lines, buffet style food selection, and average coffee, this cafe is not my preferred choice. In a prime location to service the entire russel area this cafe makes good business. Now editing this review, went back a week later and just horrible. Waited 20 minutes for my coffee, burnt with no flavour and the three "coffee makers" were making one coffee at a time, making the entire process stupidly long. Not going back. Eww, stat away if you have any taste buds. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Same as previous comments, where is a Zero star rating.
I made the mistake of going back and I should have known better.
$13:50 for three meatballs and a handful of pasta. Seriously I know times are tough but really? And it was bland, the pasta was overcooked and under-cooked in the same container. That is an achievement.
Add in a drink and I was at over $17 bucks to grab lunch.
That was the last time, never again will I make this mistake.
They survive by having a trapped clientele, more fool us.

If there was a minus zero I would rate this place that. As a wife of one of the employees here at Russell offices cafe contracted by Compass Group, I would just like to allow Defense of Russell to know how poorly Compass as a company treat their employees. My husband who is 40 yrs old, starts at 6am each morning for the last 4yrs Is the cook at R2 gets paid a MAXIMUM $23.00 flat an hour. We have 2 children and a mortgage
This company is a joke, they should lose their contracts nation wide and send them back to the U. S.
Do not buy from these people, they take advantage of the poor, and vulnerable.
Get lost Compass .
