After a long walk around Imperial Palace (Hofburg), visit this cafe and have a rest here. Tourists appreciate Austrian dishes at Cafe Sacher. The chef at this place cooks good broth, wiener schnitzels and pies. Order tasty Sachertorte, gâteau and chocolate cakes. It's a must when visiting this spot to taste delicious cordial, wine or fino sherry. This place is famous for great cappuccino, hot chocolate or tea.

This cafe is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Based on the guests' opinions, prices are attractive. At Cafe Sacher, guests can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and modern decor. But this place isn't given a high rating on Trip.

A timeless classic, a must go to if visiting the city of Innsbruck. Best chocolate slice in the business.
We waited in the line for 15 min and when we arrived to the front, the waiter physically pushed us back (instead of asking politely) to make space in the entrance. He didn't care that there was no space behind us to move back. We left immediately.
While the original Cafe Sacher is in Vienna, we visited this one in Innsbruck to try their famous Sacher Torte-- a dense chocolate layer cake sandwiched with jam and topped with chocolate ganache.   We did not eat dinner here, but they do offer it.  (It is a bit pricey, and according to my local friends there are better restaurants for the main course!) We had Sacher Coffee-- coffee with chocolate liqueur and Sacher Torte, along with warm Apfel Strudel topped with Vanilla Cream.  If you have never had Vanilla Cream, it is sort of like a cross between real whipped cream and warm vanilla pudding and heaven, and it is divine.   All in all, our desserts and drinks were amazing.   The reason they did not get that last star was that the service was lacking.  Our waiter was hardly attentive, and did not seem to want to be bothered by us.  It took him quite some time to greet us in the first place.
