Nice people, nice place! And a very good paella:
I have a weakness for Catalans and it's culture. This is the typical Catalan place. Nobody is nice (because they don't have to) but the service is great and the food is traditional and great. The problem is that it seems pricey for what it is but if you feel like having the Catalan experience in this hidden gem in El Raval. Go for it
Excellent catalan cuisine with friendly owner,Pepe & professional waiting service. The restaurant dates back 100 years so is traditional in design and appearance. We tried the spinach with raisins/pine nuts which was tasty followed by the snails which were cooked to perfection. Then the paella was delicious too. All plates arrived quickly & were well presented & served hot. The final dish, Catalan sausage & Haricot beans, was delicious too. The house wine a Chardonnay from Aragon was good. I would like to see some Catalan wines by the glass in the future. Good lunchtime atmosphere with local clientele. The evening sitting is for the tourists.
