Good fried chicken, crab cakes and rib sandwiches are the best dishes. You can always degust tasty waffles, cobbler and crème brûlée at this bar. A lot of visitors order delicious draft beer, bourbon or wine. Visitors don't like coffee at Calhoun Street Tavern.
Select between indoor and outdoor seating. Most people think that the hostess is terrific at this place. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are democratic. You will appreciate the modern decor and comfortable atmosphere of this place. As for the Google rating, this spot received 4.3.

Staying at an Airbnb near Calhoun Street Tavern we walked down the street and decided to try Calhouns for dinner. It was a Sunday evening (so not very busy) and the majority of customers were seated outside. We decided to sit at an indoor table. I had a fantastic signature drink and my husband had gin and tonic (rail drink only $5). I ordered chicken and waffles and my husband had crab cakes over fried green tomatoes with hollandaise sauce. Both meals were fantastic! My chicken was so tender and delicious. I wasn't a fan of coleslaw on the waffle and the waffle was undercooked but the chicken made up for that. My husband loved his meal as well. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. If/when we relocate to this area we will certainly make this a regular place to dine.
