I'm a local resident since 1983 and have been in this restaurant many times. The food last week was just okay. Small salad and a $3.00 up charge for a baked potato!!! I found that unacceptable. Then the 3.5% credit card charge on my local Credit Union Debit card was the straw that broke the camels back. When a vendor chooses to accept a particular credit card, the vendor agrees to pay the fee charged by the credit card company. Now Capt. Anderson's, along with other vendors, want their customers to pay that credit card vendor fee. I will never return the Capt. Anderson's Restaurant. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

If you don’t pay cash you pay a surcharge of 3.5%. So if you have a large family and want to avoid the charge be sure you are toting $4 or $500 in Cash. Done with this restaurant . Ordered new potatoes with meal got fries then returned with mash potatoes Portion of $30 Groper was 3 or four end pcs . Don’t waste your time here.
