Vegetarian cuisine is served at this cafe. Spend a nice time here and share nicely cooked pies, burgers and cannelloni with your friends. Good acai bowls, banana pancakes and chocolate waffles will impress you at the first bite. It's time to degustate delicious wine. Visit The Cardamom Pod for great chai latte, smoothies or matcha.

Always a great experience at Cardamom Pod. It's a vegetarian restaurant. They have amazing meals that look like artwork with lots of flavour. They're not small meals either, you'll feel full afterwards. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and convenient parking. You can't make bookings, it's walk-in only and every time I go, there's a queue to get a table because it's so good. Well worth the wait every time though. Amazing vegetarian, vegan and no onion-garlic food options. Food is healthy , taste authentic and presentation is excellent. My friends and I have known and eaten frequently at all the Cardamom Pod restaurants between Byron, Mullum and the Gold Coast as well as similar, like the late-lamented Giri Kana, and appreciate the ethos of these restaurants and cafes and understand the varied approaches - up-market, middle, basic etc. Have been to the Cardamom Pod at the Brickworks twice and enjoyed the food and the skill of the chefs - though maybe a little heavy on the oil. Having said that, much more work needs to be done on the dessert side. We have tried a number of different desserts (4) and taken them home to enjoy at leisure, only to be disappointed with all of them! First, they all had a thick, over-sweet, cloying icing instead of fresh cream inside. Even apple-pie, which had what we thought were piped rosettes of fresh cream, turned out to have the same sickly, sugary icing piped on the top. Who puts icing on apple-pie?? In addition, the cakes were not fresh but hard and crumbly. We all understand the financial pressures of keeping a food outlet open and viable, but if you're going to charge these prices there is definitely a higher obligation to your customers required. I've given four stars but the desserts would get one star by themselves.
