The food was amazing. The arugula beet salad was so fresh. The short rib fell off the bone it was so tender. The seafood pasta was packed with fresh seafood. Great portions and great cocktails. After 2 times unsuccessfully getting a seat at Carmelina's on a weekend (there's no reservation on weekends), we finally got a chance to try out this Michelin guide place! The menu was not extensive, which is a good sign, and everything on it was well executed, simple yet delicate, flavorful but not overpowering. To me, this represents the quintessence of Italian cooking. Well worth the hype and the praises! You'd better try the tuna appetizer.
