Carriage Cafe in Simi Valley is a must-visit for anyone looking for a classic diner experience. The restaurant has an old-school vibe, with decor that feels untouched since the 1980s. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Their famous Monte Cristo sandwich is a must-try, as well as the patty melt and open face turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. The staff are friendly and welcoming, treating customers like family. Service is fast and efficient and the restaurant is always clean and comfortable. Carriage Cafe is one of those old cafes that have been around for years. It's like a stereotypical small town cafe that you can go to early in the morning or late at night. Reasonably priced for one of the best quality foods around. I've been to many cafes and not many can stack up to it. And don't even compare think about comparing it to iHop, Denny's or even Eggs & Things. Eggs & Things is great mind you, but you don't get that friendly, small town, mom and pop cafe like you do with Carriage Cafe. Everything is always fresh at Carriage Cafe, from their eggs, toast, pancakes, and coffee. As long as they're open, I'll keep coming!
