First time here! Birria tacos are delicious! Say yes to cheese! It’s goooood! This is the popular dish, next time I’ll get something different.. but these.. are hard to pass!!! Typically, I don’t have comments about sides, like rice and beans, but this rice is on point! Just like grandma used to do! And beans have some hot on them, awesome!!!Watching the sunset is optional

I can't believe I haven't written an update. I still absolutely love Casa Azul de Andrea and it still my favorite brunch spot! The staff is always happy to see us, and they've upped their menu options a bit. They're great to local artists, and occasionally host little markets. Today we had brunch and I ventured off my normal options (barbacoa tacos and/or menudo) and I got the chilaquiles torta. Oh. My. GOSH. That was absolutely amazing. The bread was super buttered, the chips stayed nice and crispy, and the fried egg oozed perfectly and mixed with the salsa, avocado, cilantro, and queso fresco. I normally don't finish my food but . . . I ate the whole thing. It was just too amazing. Too perfect. And the perfect companion to my torta was a watermelon mimosa. Bubbly, sweet, and tangy, it reminded me of a jolly rancher. And at $5, you're getting a FULL cup of it, none of this champagne flute nonsense. I had a pretty good buzz going afterwards!
