Casa das Espetadas, located in Funchal, is a traditional Portuguese establishment that specializes in grilled meat and fish on skewers. The restaurant boasts a modern yet authentic ambiance, with an outdoor dining area available during peak hours. The interior design is simple but charming, with palm trees and flowers adding to the atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, with a set menu that includes a variety of meats served on skewers, as well as fish and vegetarian options. Side dishes such as green salad, fries, and diced potatoes, and a choice of dessert are included in the price. The restaurant also offers a good selection of wines, spirits, and beers, as well as cocktails and soft drinks. Special features include live music, traditional dancing, and a bar. Some of the standout dishes include the chicken soup with "bolo do caco" (traditional bread with garlic butter), the beef and pork skewers, and the tangerine pudding for dessert. Overall, Casa das Espetadas is a fine dining spot that offers a fun and enjoyable experience for both tourists and locals alike.
The Casa das Espetadas restaurant was a disappointment. I don't recommend it, the price is exaggerated for what they serve. Not recommended

Poor food quality, used to be a place that used to go annually but no longer. The food quality especailly the chicken was low quality. 6 year old son even commented on it. Some of the food was undercooked. Folklore dancing still advertised at place and on website, no longer there, main reason for going but wasnt happening for a while. Made a complant but all theu can do is apologise. No longer returning, bad representation of how good madeiran food can be at the restaurants on the island.
