An Unforgettable Gastronomic Trip at Casa San Isidro, from the first moment we decided to ascend to Monserrate to dine at the Casa San Isidro Restaurant, we knew that we were on our way to a unique experience. Although I made the trip accompanied by my ex, this detail fades before the magic of the night we experienced, one that was marked by unforgettable flavors, aromas, and views. Upon arrival, the stage was perfectly set: the city of Bogotá below us, illuminated like a vast sea of lights, created a dramatic backdrop for a night that promised to be spectacular. The atmosphere at Casa San Isidro is simply magical, a cozy refuge on top of the world, where every detail, from the lighting to the background music, is designed to enchant. We were welcomed with a warmth that immediately made us feel special. The attentive and knowledgeable staff guided us through the menu with personalized recommendations that reflected a deep understanding of their culinary art. Their professionalism and courtesy added a layer of excellence to our experience. Our culinary adventure began with what we fondly remember as "prawns in fetishini", a creative interpretation of surf and turf that fused flavors in a sublime way, probably inspired by "Langoustes à la provençale". This dish, with its delicate combination of prawns and fettuccine, prepared our palate for what would be an evening of discovery. The “House Party Plate,” which we imagined as an elevated version of “Pacific Shrimp,” was a revelation. The shrimp mixture, a cheese dip, not only captured the essence of Colombian cuisine, but elevated it, creating a moment of pure gastronomic delight. For dessert, we opted for a dish we called "Moberier el Vivo", a sweet finish that in our memory is comparable to the innovation and charm of "Raviolon de Homard", although in the realm of sweet flavors. This imaginary dessert represented the perfect culmination of an exceptional dinner. The Wine: And, how can we forget the Canallas wine? Although the name only reminded me of the betrayal of the person I went with, this imaginary element embodies our pairing adventure that night. The wine selection at Casa San Isidro is exceptional, and each sip of our choice beautifully enhanced each dish, weaving harmony between the flavors of our dinner. The experience at Casa San Isidro was more than just a dinner; It was a culinary journey that transported us through flavors, textures, and aromas, all framed by a view that stole our breath and a service that made us feel at home. Although I went with my ex, the memory of that night transcends any company; It was a celebration of life, the love of food and the moments shared around a table. Without a doubt, a night to remember. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: COP 100,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Langosta de la Casa, Fiesta de Mariscos

Nestled high atop a hill overlooking the picturesque city of Bogota and the majestic Andes Mountains, Restaurante Casa San Isidro is an extraordinary dining experience that transports you to another world. To reach this gastronomic gem, one must embark on a brief but memorable journey via the Cerro de Monserrate cable car, a thrilling ride that only costs around 2 dollars USD and takes a mere 4 minutes. Once you step off at the summit, you are greeted with a view that is nothing short of breathtaking. Our visit to this remarkable restaurant was made even more special by the impeccable service provided by Octavio. He personified elegance and thoughtfulness, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, it was evident that we were in for something truly extraordinary. Seated on the indoor patio, we were treated to a view that words can hardly describe. Sipping on house-made sangrias as we looked out over the sprawling city of Bogota was nothing short of mesmerizing. But it was the food that truly stole the show. I opted for the roasted duck, a dish that turned out to be a culinary masterpiece. The succulent duck was perfectly complemented by a manderin citrus sauce that added a delightful tangy zest to every bite. The flavors danced on my palate, creating an unforgettable taste sensation. My partner had the Filet Mignon, which was nothing short of perfection. Cooked to the exact degree of doneness requested, it was tender, juicy, and simply divine. Eating at Restaurante Casa San Isidro felt like dining amongst the gods on Mount Olympus. The combination of the ethereal location, attentive service, and the culinary delights made this an experience of a lifetime. The restaurant managed to seamlessly blend breathtaking natural beauty with culinary excellence, creating a memory that will linger in our hearts and taste buds for years to come. If you find yourself in Bogota, this hidden gem is an absolute must-visit. Restaurante Casa San Isidro is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience that will leave you in awe and eager to return for more.
