Come here for some rest after a long walk around Mansfield Traquair. The menu of British and Scottish cuisines under the direction of the great chef are wonderful here. From the visitors' point of view, pies are nicely cooked here. Visit this bar for delicious cask ale, draft beer or craft beer.
Cask & Barrel (Broughton Street) is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. You will like affordable prices. There is a nice atmosphere and cute decor at this place. This spot is rated on Google 4.4 by its clients.

Proper pub, good range of beer in perfect condition. Good home made tradional food served at lunch time, it does sell out so don't hang about till the last minute ! Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to the toilet, flat floor from tables to bar, staff will happily serve you at the table. Everyone treated Equally, fully recommend this bar Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Was turned away pretty rudely because they apparently do not accept U.S. licenses as valid IDs. They claim that it’s “not a valid form of identity in the UK,” which I genuinely have never heard. I have lived here for 1.5 years and have never had that problem. I’m sure their food is lovely, but be warned about their sham ID policy and service/attitude from bartenders as they may not necessarily be welcoming or accepting of tourists, visitors, and/or anyone from outside the UK.
