We love coming to Catch35 whenever we go to the theater.  It initially started mainly to get that great free parking deal, but now we actually look forward to dining here.  The meals we've had have all been so delicious.  On our most recent visit,  I ordered the Mixed grill with blackened salmon, oysters, and lobster, with a side of brussel sprouts.  My husband had the scallops over a bed of corned beef hash.  We have gotten into sharing half of our meals sometimes in order to try different foods,  and I'm so glad we did that here.  Both meals were fantastic! I had never had hash before. and this was the best way to try it.  Can't wait to be back next month for our next show!
Quaint little spot that was next to our hotel. Service was great and the food was amazing!! I got the blacked fish tacos they were so good. Others I was with got the fish and chips and the surf and turf. If I was in Chicago again I would definitely stop back and eat here.
Atrocious meal. Mixed drink was bland, tasted like sour mix over crushed ice with a dash of bourbon. A waste of good ingredients, which should have been served in a lowball glass with a few ice cubes. We had the hot and the cold appetizer assortments. EVERY shellfish, including the raw oysters, was tongue-picklingly salty. They must brine it to plump it out, but didn't rinse in fresh water before serving. Shrimp were ok. Calamari were limp and breading was mushy. Crab legs were salty. Lobster was salty and the drawn butter tasted exactly like the stuff they squirt onto popcorn at the movies. Bread was bland, and under baked. Turned back into dough in my mouth. I had the Hong Kong style salmon which was, surprise!, incredibly salty. To the point I couldn't taste the fish, the bok choy, or mushrooms. I have the validation of my dining companions - all the seafood was horribly over salted. One person had the filet, and said the beef was good. I lived in San Francisco for 10 years and had a lot of great seafood. Catch 35 is full of theatre goers and tourists, but I will not be dining here again. Even for a work event it's not worth the thirst and indigestion just for free food.
