I recently visited Cha Dol Poong in Koreatown, the sister restaurant to Woo Hyang Woo. The restaurant has a more casual and comforting vibe in comparison to its elegant sister restaurant. I was excited to try their Daechang and Gopchang combo, which features both small and large intestines. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the dish was. While I sometimes find the gritty texture of gopchang off-putting, it was cooked to perfection at this location. The flavor was just right and it had a nice, chewy texture that paired well with the daechang. My only complaint was that the daechang lacked a stronger marinade and flavor. While it was still enjoyable, I would have preferred a stronger seasoning to bring out the rich and savory flavors of the organ meat. Despite this small flaw, I really enjoyed my meal at Cha Dol Poong. The atmosphere was laid-back and cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend giving Cha Dol Poong a try, especially if you're a fan of Korean barbecue and are looking for a more casual and welcoming environment to enjoy it in.
