Had dinner at the restaurant for the second time this evening after the wonderful first meal I had her a few months ago. The food was exceptional but the service was awful. There were four of us. The dishes arrived erratically and two of us had finished our meal before one of my companions was even served her first dish. The waiter repeatedly promised that dishes were on there way but they arrived literally hours later. It seems the kitchen was unable to cope and completely lacked the ability to meet serve food on time and in a coordinated manner. The owner / chef was awa at a function and the stand inin chef was incompetent. Our meal was spoiled by the the poor service. A resturant experience is more than just good food. It's about food and service and this resturant failed miserably on the second count

ChiCha! Is an amazing restaurant with an even greater service. It is a different unique spot that allows interaction with the people you go with and even those who are there. The food was more than amazing, every dish was satisfying, an amazing wine selection, live music on Sunday's and different from the other restaurants in Cape Town that I've been too.The owner is very accommodating and welcoming, it definitely feels like a second home away from home.Absolutely loved it and I will be going back.
