After spending the last week with family in Mexico I was surprised to see they had sotol. A spirit from the part of Mexico that my family is from(Chihuahua). Best pozole I have had in the states period. Expensive for Mexican food but at least you can feel confident that it will come out great.
Eating trash is better
4.25 stars Mexican and Chinese cuisines sit side-by-side without overlapping into the slippery slope of "fusion" on China Poblano's menu. I rarely eat pork which made it all the more surprising to me that the three variations I had at dinner were all quite delicious! Their won ton soup called Swallow a Cloud ($14.88 & $2 to add egg noodles) was a real winner; juicy pork encased in delicate won ton skin swimming in a full-bodied broth. Put a squirt of sriracha-like salsa on their Chicharrones ($6) & you've got some good crunchin'. Golden Pigs ($14.88) is the name given to their fried buns, the twist being the condensed milk dipping sauce that offsets the savory bbq pork filling. Enjoyed this trifecta of porky goodness! Oink, oink!!
