Another epic meal here again highly recommended
We came here based on the strength of the reviews and were not disappointed. The restaurant is tiny, so definitely advise booking a table in advance. It is family run and everyone is super friendly and welcoming, and know their dishes inside and out because they created them!My husband had the half rack of ribs smothered in the Chorley's BBQ sauce and said they were the tastiest ribs he's ever had. I had the bunny chow, which was a veggie curry served in a hollowed out loaf of bread. Also very tasty and with the right amount of spice. If I was to give one piece of constructive criticism it would be that I would have liked to have had a bit of vegetarian protein in the curry. It was very filling being served in bread, but if I had just had it with rice I think it would be great to have some chickpeas or jackfruit, or even quorn pieces thrown in to 'beef' it up a bit.We then had a traditional South African dessert to share and you could tell it was home made. Just be aware that the traditional desserts, because they are made in house, are not all permanently available. We weren't fussy about which one we tried, but if you are craving a particular one it may be best to call ahead and check. Finally, we picked up a bottle of the famed Chorley's smokey mild BBQ sauce. Since bringing it home we have used it on practically everything, it is just that good. And this comes from someone who doesn't like traditional bbq sauce!Yes, the food is good here and it's something a bit different, but I think what keeps people coming back are the family who run this. They genuinely care about their customer's experience and it shows
