Had a nice work dinner here with a colleague on 7/17/17. Classy, darkened ambiance, white table cloths. Very solid wine list with mostly California wines but a few Europeans to fill some holes. Good cocktail list, too. Their signature chopped salad mixed tableside is delicious and filling, easily enough for two to share. I had the catfish starter which was surprisingly light -- very lightly coated and came with a pickle relish and a hot sauce that paired perfectly with the dish. I loved it. We both had the grilled chicken breast over truffled rice. This dish was okay -- the chicken was overcooked, a little too burnt and dry and I'm not sure the truffled rice worked but I liked the idea. Would def go back to try a few other items, though there are a surprising number of good bistro-style restaurants in Old Town Scottsdale. Service was very good/nice as well, from the hostess to the waitress.
Delightful. We went on a Thursday at happy hour. It was a special occasion, I was retiring from a 23 year career.  I opened Yelp to find a place near the ceremony.  CPH looked good to me.  I am vegetarian, they did not have any vegetarian entrees on the menu I found online, but I don't let that put me off.  As soon as walk in, you feel relaxed, and special.  The environment is elegant and not stuffy.  Our server, Paul, was genuine, professional, kind, sincere, and conscientious.  Happy hour drink prices are insanely reasonable.  It is evident immediately that we should relax and enjoy each others company and take in the experience.  I never felt forgotten, I felt nudged to savor my friends, my food, my drink.  We started with the hummus, the little cucumber salad was AMAZING! I told Paul I was a vegetarian and asked if there was anything we could do besides the salads.  He told me of a vegetarian entrée that was available yesterday and he asked the chef if it was still available. It was, it sounded delicious, so I tried it.  It was AMAZING, risotto, carrots, cauliflower, asparagus, parsnips.  The risotto was a teeny tiny bit overcooked but the flavor was awesome and the veggies were PERFECT!  And the portion was GENEROUS; Seriously, I took half of it home. It was $20.  My gf had the tacos, she loved them and the FRIES, she loved the fries.  My husband had the braised short ribs, he reports that they were very very good.  We all three shared the beet salad, it was so good I wanted to lick the plate.  The beets were cooked perfectly, the fancy lettuce was perfectly crunchy, the dressing was light and addicting.  Because it was a special occasion we ordered the black and tan dessert.  It was the best dessert I've ever had, I don't know what's in it other than chocolate and heaven, just try it!  But, share it, it's rich enough to satisfy four people.  We will definitely return.
This place is awesome! If you come, you must order the special OMFG salad (see video clip). This is undoubtedly one of the best salads I have ever had, and they mix all of the fresh ingredients right in front of your eyes! Each of us ordered something different for our main courses, and nobody was disappointed. I especially recommend the french fries. For dessert, the French toast bread pudding was to die for! The strawberry rhubarb sauce and buttermilk ice cream put it over-the-top. The atmosphere is pretty swanky yet warm and inviting. Dress code is what you make of it; one could easily fit in with cocktail or dressier attire, however we wore jeans and T-shirts. A great place to have an intimate date or a family celebration. The background music was low, however due to the crowd of excited diners, it did get a little noisy. Who needs to talk when the food is this good though, right?!
