It's been a few days and I'm still daydreaming about the codfish with honey. The service was attentive and fast despite how busy the restaurant was. We snagged a table for 3 in the bar area with only a 15 minute wait. We tried shrimp, codfish, asparagus and mushrooms, bravas, and White sangria (Sangria de Cava). So delicious, I'll definitely be back!

Absolutely my favorite meal in Barcelona! Love the casual atmosphere and vibe here. Dining capacity is abundant as they have seating inside and outside. Selection of tapas is large and well balanced. Prices are very reasonable. There is a reason why this place doesn't take reservations yet always has a line outside of the door. This is the place the locals come. It's also the place our new friend Marta recommended to us. Watching the wait staff move around so quickly and efficiently is like watching a well oiled machine. Wonderful thing about tapas done right, small portions at reasonable prices...share and sample many! Enjoyed trying a mixed seafood sauté which ended up being my favorite. Also tried the fried seafood mix, asparagus and mushroom, and a few other not so memorable ones. Friend swore the beef and foie gras slider was the best she ever had! Don't expect fine dining. Do expect a casual place to start your festive evening in Barcelona!

This excellent restaurant was recommended to us from a couple on our cruise who visits Ciutat Comtal every trip to Barcelona. We were seated outside in January in a heated tent. No issues with the weather. Despite having the kitchen across the street, our tapas plates arrived quickly, hot, and delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant who will help you make sense of the menu if you're not native Spanish speakers like us. I would definitely go back!!
