After looking for years and years at this place from the outside, finally ventured inside and were pleasantly surprised. We love dive bars, but this actually, it's not really as divey as some of the others we have reviewed positively. The selection of alcohol is incredible, the owner is very friendly, and the place is very large. This review only applies to a visit made around dinner time on a Tuesday afternoon. But we liked it. He made me a very strong scotch and soda, best buddy had a beer that was icy cold - as promised by the sign outside, which we have pictured for your convenience. The bottom line is, go here - I trust that the man who greeted us today would make sure that your safety and comfort is insured later on in the evening. This is only an estimation, usually we make two visits - but I was So positively impressed with this place that I had to tell you. UPDATE: a week later, we checked on-line for hours. That day was to start at 11:00. At noon, we entered and were very abruptly told "3:30," and asked to leave. Not the guy we'd met there previously. We will return, but certainly with a degree of caution.
