Colita is a great place for a special occasion. Such as a real date night after two years of a new kiddo and a pandemic...As many will say, Colita is not cheap. The food is fun, delicious, and expensive. It is not over-priced; food like this simply sells for more because it is special. Texas Roadhouse, Colita is not. And that's a good thing - I enjoy the 5 pounds of food I get at the Roadhouse, but I really enjoy the small plates of heaven at Colita. We got the Tlayuda, Cacio e Pepe Stacked Tostadas, scallops, and churros. All four were wonderful - I'm a competent cook at home, and while my cheesy tostadas and scallops are good, they are NOT this good. And the churros were light, crunchy, chewy, and not-too-sweet. Desserts often fall into the over-sugared trap, but not these. With the caramel, they are just right.Back to the money, Colita - like many Mpls restaurants - charges a 20% service fee that is NOT gratuity. Please tip your wait staff using the food & bev total. If you can swing $30+ per person (more with booze), Colita is a fun choice.

Every time I’ve been to colita I’ve had an amazing experience. The food, the staff and the atmosphere 10/10. Especially the bartender Britty… what a gem

Went there to celebrate my partner accepting a job offer and had a wonderful experience. I wish I remembered our servers name as she was fantastic. She provided 3 recommended dishes that catered to our seafood/shellfish allergies and they were amazing! The pork tacos we had were our favorite. The only downside was it was a little crowded which I believe was a result of the patio being shut down due to weather, the tables were awfully close to one another. It was still enjoyable, we should have just pulled our table together with the ladies next to us because they were a hoot. This was our first and certainly not last time visiting!Food 10/10Space 9/10Service 11/10overall 10/10
