Is this place worth a visit? Yes. Have I had better? Also yes. This restaurant is listed as a Colombian restaurant, but judging by the menu it is more of a general Spanish restaurant that doesn't specialize in one country's specialties. The Colombian food here is OK. The upside is, if you are the type of person that values a heaping plate of food when you go out, this restaurant gives ENORMOUS portions. Unfortunately, for me it was quantity over quality, with some of it dried out or requiring seasoning. I've found better lunch Colombian cafeteria options nearby that have similar quality or better food at lower cost. The Dominican options here seem like the better picks. But again, there are similar quality Dominican options at lower cost, especially since Rhode Island has a huge Dominican population and a ton of options for eating Dominican food in the area. The major upside of eating at Copacabana is that the restaurant itself is clean and has a full bar, so it's a much nicer venue to have a meal here than most of the other older Latin carry outs around town. Not a bad option if you want a safe introduction to Spanish food in the area, but I've personally had better.
