I love this restaurant usually, but tonight while there with friends fruit flies swarmed our table continuously.  The waitress was great and apologized profusely, but the manager, Chris, was lackluster at best.  His response was "sorry about that."  Really?  Over $100 for our meal and "sorry" was his response???
I am not a hardcore critic but I like to give credit where credit is due. With that said this little place deserves some large credit. I was very pleasently surprised to see items like "Arepas" on the menu. Not only were they prepared to perfection but the flavor was delicious. Being from South America and knowing the correct flavor not just some Americanized version of a dish. I was very happy to taste authentic flavors. The steak in the tacos reminds me of some roadside BBQ stands I would visit as a child 35 years ago. The desert was "Tres Leches" a food I learned about in South Florida and have had many versions of. This version was by far on the top 4 best ever. I would consider driving to this restaurant as far as 50 miles. I loved the food, the atmosphere, the service! Anyone hoping to get Mexican this is not it. The food is a great blend of traditional  South American dishes and modern day flavors that on paper immediately appear to be delicious but shockingly awesome once in your mouth!!!
Went on a Sunday afternoon and were seated within 30 min. I was nervous because we had a baby but the staff was very accommodating. The space inside is a little tight but not uncomfortable. The food ranged from fun and tasty to ok. I had the elote, which was ok. I grew up on Mexican street corn so I'm a little picky- I felt it needed a little more cotija & lime. The guacamole was a little under salted but otherwise good and I liked the baggie the chips came in. The special for the day was the shrimp watermelon aguachile. I've never had aguachile with a watermelon twist - it was delicious!!! The papas enlatadas were tasty and reminiscent of chili cheese fries - presentation was also fun. The Feijoada was just ok for me but my friend loved them. The cocktails were all delicious. I would go again.
