Enter the restaurant and there is a noisy party of 9, terrible acoustics. We waited 10 minutes for water even though the restaurant was empty. We sat outside but had to move our own glasses as no one assisted us in moving tables because of how loud it was. Then my son’s burger arrived late and it tasted strong and disgusting, either like the meat was old or they used some kind of game meat. Totally inedible. They got upset when I didn’t want to pay the service fee given our experience. I will never come back to this location and maybe not Cote ever anywhere. It’s a health hazard. We had breakfast at Côte Blackheath on Sunday. The food was nice and the decor was pleasant, but what really stood out was our waiter, Hilton. He was warm, funny, friendly and incredibly welcoming. He noticed from our booking that it was my husband’s birthday and, at the end of the meal, brought him a complimentary birthday dessert while singing the entire Happy Birthday song with a huge smile on his face! Hilton’s warmth and personality really stood out, and he is a real credit to Côte. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £20–30
