It is a complex and creative cuisine that you should expect when coming to Cruel Restaurante. 3 levels of “experiences” are offered through the menu, making the flavors accessible to everyone. In addition, the presentations make it easier to share the different dishes. We detect a specialty in making homemade ice creams, sweet and savory, with surprising flavors, to accompany dishes and desserts. Particularly in the beet carpaccio with radish ice cream (which I will undoubtedly remember all my life), the baba de camelo mousse accompanied by its cardamom ice cream (I, who am not a very fan of it, loved the combine with the mousse) and the white chocolate and Sichuan pepper ice cream (how good it was!) to lighten the chocolate cake! For the less daring, you will find options for duck breast (presented with a spring roll of pulled Peking duck, absolutely exquisite), risotto and fish. However, I recommend that you take the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and try the unknown. Trust the culinary artist you are about to discover. The only downsides? We expected more explosions, regarding the wazabi accompaniment of the Berlin balls. Although we enjoyed this starter, it lacked a little something to make it perfect. The toucinho de purgatório dessert was way too sweet for our taste. And another positive note regarding soft drinks. What a joy to discover a range of alternative lemonades and iced teas to the big brands! Without forgetting the service, very professional, discreet but present, smiling and pleasant.
