Stopped in for lunch.  The booth was very comfortable.   Had two drinks the bees knee and southern lemonade...just ok.  The beer from southern tide was excellent.   Fried oyster dinner was excellent.  Not crazy about mayo but assume it's a southern way of serving.   Where we sat was in the bar area....not loud ...I would skip the fried onion rings....too heavy.  The slaw was outstanding.    You can't go wrong.....
Excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere. Definitely has an old beer parlor vibe to it with friendly staff and a bartender who can make a mean martini. We tried a few different food options and all were excellent. The crab stew and the blue crab dip were delicious and VERY rich in flavor. I would highly recommend this place or a large party or even for a two top. Enjoy!
Solid fare with a large menu and a long wait at times, but we always eat at the bar if so. The double-decker club was unfortunately mediocre. It probably sat for a while, as the toast and bread were as cold as the turkey. Fries were hot and crisp. Also, just too much bread (my fault) so I trimmed off all the crust edges to make myself feel better about the carbs. Service from James was great. This still remains our go-to spot when in the neighborhood. Just very unpretentious with a great history. I have never been here for bar service in the evening, just lunches (about 6 times over 10 years). Parking is limited and tight, so try to come early or bike or walk.
