This restaurant is famous for serving Cajun and Creole cuisines. That's a good idea to order mouthwatering fried prawns, trout and rich gumbo. At Cypress Grill, visitors can have perfectly cooked bread pudding, pecan pie and French toasts. Delicious bourbon, wine or beer are worth trying here. Don't miss the opportunity to order great coffee or good juice.

Invite your girlfriend to this place with a wonderful atmosphere. This spot is recommended for the gracious staff. You will appreciate fair prices. It is noteworthy that decor is terrific. 4 is how guests rate this restaurant on Zomato.

Started off with a Boulevardier cocktail. It was mixed fairly well, a bit light on the cognac if you ask me, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. It went surprisingly well with my food. I had a lunch portion of Red Beans and Rice, which was really quite good. It was a touch buttery, which I don't really expect, but the richness was really nice. Also had a side of Seafood Gumbo, nice and dark and earthy, with little seafood treasures mixed in. Our waiter was really, really, nice and did a great job keeping us happy. Definitely will go back when I'm in that neighborhood,
When we first arrived we were told it would be about a 35 minute wait. We had nowhere to be and I was catching up with an old friend so we didn't mind. The wait ended up being about 25 minutes. I got a side salad with blue cheese dressing to start. Their house made blue cheese dressing is fabulous and chunky. For all you blue cheese lovers. I ordered the Crawfish Linguine and it was decent but needed a little bit more flavor. I asked for crushed red pepper. That helped. My friend ordered pasta evangeline with chicken and really enjoyed it. Said it had lots and lots of flavor. Pics included of the pasta. Service was just ok, nothing to get too excited about but again we were catching up and didn't really notice it. Overall, good experience.
This is one of my go-to spots, especially when I have out-of-town guests. I've tried many dishes and almost all have been a hit. The crawfish egg rolls are creative and a must-have. The gumbo is great, especially when duck is on the menu. The king salmon (get it blackened!) is always cooked perfectly. My fiancé always gets boudin balls and jambalaya, which you can order extra spicy. Even their non-Cajun dishes like chicken tenders and salads are great. For lunch, you can't beat the price in the muffuletta and gumbo combo. And don't get me started on the desserts (literally, because I can't put down my fork)! The only disappointment was the Father's Day buffet, which 6 of us agreed we wouldn't get again. Stick to the menu, and you'll be fine. The dinner prices are a little high but in line with what you pay at other good Austin restaurants. Cypress Grill is in a strip mall, so it is small and crowded with small uncomfortable wooden chairs. But service is great, with friendly staff who can explain anything on the menu. Food is always served hot, fresh, and fast. I strongly recommend this place.
