You can always degust nicely cooked egg sandwiches, mushrooms and hamburgers at this restaurant. Trying good fruitcake, brownies and biscuits is what a number of clients recommend. It's nice to order delicious wine or good beer. Great coffee, matcha or juice are waiting for you at Dad's Luncheonette.

my boyfriend and I stopped by this place last month since we were going to be in the area. this place has been on my bookmarks for the greater part of this year and ive heard their mushroom burger was great. also heard that the chef used to work at a 3-star Michelin restaurant. We got here around 11:30am on Saturday, there were a lot of people sitting and eating on the outside benches already. There were two people ahead of us in line. The menu is quite simple -- two sandwiches, a few sides and a lil dessert! There is also an option to try everything -- for $53! I think thats a pretty good deal, especially since what we got was already $45. The HMB farmers market is on Saturdays too, so we took a nice stroll and bought a few things while we waited for our food to be ready. (15 min or so) We got the mushroom burger and the regular hamburger. we also got the house chips (sprinkled with nutritional yeast) and their toffee pudding. I LOVED the hamburger. the bread was buttery, and the meat was juicy and a lil greasy. the star of the show, for both me and my bf, was their house mustard or sauce he used. it was tangy and was perfect to cut through the fattiness of the meat. He also uses it in the mushroom burger and (I'm assuming), the dressing of his salad as well. my boyfriend enjoyed the mushroom burger more than I did. the mushroom was quite meaty, but I wanted more of a sautéed taste. The mushroom was very ... mushroom-y, so if youre not a fan of. mushroom, avoid this! I still enjoyed it somewhat. the chips with the nutritional yeast was okay. I dont recommend getting it again. the nutritional yeast was good for first two bites, but it got kinda boring after awhile. I wish we got the mac and cheese, we heard from a friend that was a really good item to get. the toffee pudding was amazing! I love toffee so I might be biased. the pudding was nice and creamy, and we enjoyed the nuts and toffee bits sprinkled on top to mix up the textures. Parking is okay, it's a medium sized lot shared with the farmers market. spotting this lil place is easy, can't miss the big red caboose that says "Dad's Luncheonette!" ... oh the chef also goes deep sea fishing and will go on group boats! there was a flyer inside the ordering area and a number if you'd like to go. my boyfriend took a picture
