We loved the original daruma and will update when they move back. Had the same experience twice at the new location: the soup tastes microwaved. The chicken hard, the noodles hard. The soup cold. My wife even got an upset stomach. We're definitely not going back until they go back to 6th street To clarify, we frequent other restaurants with a similar situation... For example, kai sushi. They are now take out only. But we have not seen a drop in the food quality So take the feedback as you will

Luckily, we were able to move all of the same, original cooks to the new location. So the good news is, those chefs did not get displaced but rather they were able to keep their jobs and are preparing your ramen today, still. Sadly, due to COVID-19 we have had to change a lot of things. One of those things is that we now package the food to go. We have given a lot of thought and have put a lot of effort into this new operation, and therefore we package the broth separate from noodles and topping. We supply every order with reheating instructions because, yes, the food will tend to get cold during transit. This is an unavoidable downside of doing take-out only. But it is also an unavoidable upside to still having our business in operation. We hope we can serve you again, as we are sure we are still putting out some of the healthiest ramen in Austin.More
I was there once and I liked ramen. I do not like very oily ramen and when a lot of fat. Daruma ramen is just to my taste. Even base ramen without additives is delicious.
