Sorry I didn't take any pics! Peking Duck per person is to die for. Edit: came here for the second time so that we can try other food menus. I think I can call this my top 5 NYC dinners! Looking to see when I can get in again for dinner #3 - Peking Duck again
I love decoy so much. The peking duck here is just as good as the duck in China, and although the meal is a little pricey, you will be guaranteed stuffed by the time you leave. The duck is obviously the star, but some of the dumplings are also delicious, and the more people you bring, the more side dishes you get to try! A must eat while in NYC
I found the Decoy experience super disappointing although the food was good. First of all we couldn't have been more uncomfortable - we were a party of four squeezed in the center of the communal table with a part of 6+ on either side of us (putting us at an end would have made more sense). One side of the table is against a wall, meaning in order to sit or move, half the table needs to get up. Beyond that, where we were seated was where the two communal ables meet - meaning we all had table legs in our way. For a meal that cost 4 people $500, thats way too much discomfort. Moreover the service was bad - rushed, impersonal, and not especially helpful. There was not attention given after the food was dropped. The pre-fixe is to much food for too much cost, and considering its supposed be about the duck - its odd that they sort of buried it in the middle of the meal. I also found it annoying that despite being a pre-fixe most of the additional dishes you have to choose come with a supplemental cost. I did like the duck but it wasn't nearly good enough to ever send me back here and I strongly suggest you try another spot.
