We had a great meal here! The food was of a very high level in my opinion, and the creativity was welcome, while still being tied to traditional cuisine. The owner graciously gave us a tour following dinner and we were amazed by the level of thought and care he put into this beautiful space.

I wanted to stay away from the touristic area and asked around about a nice restaurant to have a romantic and quiet night with my wife (since the grandparents were babysitting our then 1 year old). we were told to go to Dedalo. we had a nice walk down the hill and found ourselves in this beautiful restaurant. the ambiance was incredible and fit in to the Matera feel of being inside a cave. The service was incredible and the food was delicious. they really treated us like we were family and the chef even came out and we had a very nice conversation. They welcomed us with a glass of champagne with small pieces of frozen chocolate raspberries which were to "die for" according to my wife. And when my wife asked about what they were they said they made the chocolate themselves and gave her a little complementary bag to go. After a fabulous dinner it was actually very nice to have a nice walk around the area and back up to our hotel. I highly recommend this place
