So. Plans fell through and I yelped some eateries in the area. Came across this cute little spot and said let's give it a go. Walked in it was like the steam room but we got seated quickly and Pablo are amazing server put the fans on for us so it became very comfortable. We ordered some tapas my companion did not like anything on the wine list so she actually found something that she liked that was not on the menu so she was happy. They make this great citrus soda that I love because I wasn't drinking  after all I was driving the bathroom is cute and the music was great I have to say I will be going back

I've tried to write this review a few times but I've struggled to adequately express how wonderful this place is. The food, the wine and most of all the people - all are above and beyond your typical NYC restaurant experience. I can honestly say in my 8 years in the city I've had some of the best meals of my life here. You can tell a lot of thought went into the menu which is beautifully curated. It is creative, yet touches on comfort and classics. From cured salmon, ramp and asparagus risotto, homemade beef jerky and French onion toast with oxtail, there is something for everyone or any craving on the menu. The wine - oh the wine. Describe what you're in the mood for and the knowledgeable staff will steer you to exactly the glass (or bottle) you're looking for. They even have wine on tap, which is incredibly good! Especially the prosecco! And what truly brings it all together, what lies in the essence of Denizen, are the people. I can't say enough good things about the owners, Liam and Emily and the entire staff. They have put their heart and soul into creating a warm, welcoming and fun (also incredibly clean) place. There have been many days we've order another glass of wine just to stay in their company (doesn't hurt the wine is amazing). This will forever be one of our favorite places in New York.
