Derby is pretty near Hinterdorfstrasse. Good hash browns, veal and sausages will impress you at the first bite. As a lot of reviewers remark, espresso is really delicious. Clients don't highly appreciate flija at this restaurant.
The great location of Derby makes it easy to reach even in rush hours. Most visitors mark that the staff is competent at this place. 18/02/2022Switzerland in general has had some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.The staff in this restaurant, is unfortunately the complete opposite of nice. I should have read the previous reviews before eating here.The food was ok, no issues with that.Upon entering, there were many empty seats around. But, it is of course the polite thing to ask kindly if there is a table available.The male staff member didn’t even respond. He had a grumpy facial expression, and then waved his hands abruptly in all directions of empty tables.This should have been an early sign to leave.Then, immediately after I sat down, another potential customer experiences the exact same thing as me. He did not take it lightly, and decided to walk away. While he was walking away, the rude waiter shouted “F**K OFF”, while several other customers were seated at the restaurant.This is not a good look.@Management of Hotel Restaurant Derby, please teach your staff people skills, and you will get better reviews. This is the only thing that lets this place down.Please take this as honest criticism, and not a hostile review.
