The best BBQ brisket in elpaso its just literally falls apart when u pick it up so moist and tender. I purchased the el paso trio and asked for bread, picked and onions. I got one slice of bread two slices of pickles and two onion strips. I'm going to Rudy's bbq next time.

This is the second review I've written in that many months that have nothing to do with the food, ambience, or servers. This review focuses on a business that is unresponsive. The Desert Oak Barbecue amateur website claims this business provides catering. There is no information about catering on the site, but rather, a form that must be submitted to get information. I explicitly stated that I am considering having an event for 50-60 persons, and need information shortly to be able to make a decision now for an event to take place in January. Several days have lapsed. Crickets. I'm fully aware of all the accolades the Desert Oak Barbecue food truck has garnered. I don't know if all the attention the barbecue has received is deserved or not. But judging by recent word of mouth and other recent reviewers' comments on this site, the proprietors of Desert Oak seam to have failed in their to transition from Food Truck to dine-in restaurant. Why so many people who can cook believe they have the skills to run a restaurant and provide consistently great food on a much larger scale, is a mystery to me. In fact, it's rare when that happens. Meanwhile, I wait to continue hear back from Desert Oaks...but expect I'll hear back from others first, and will have to eliminate Desert Oak from consideration to cater my event. Too bad.
