Enjoy Central Park and come to this confectionary restaurant. Chinese cuisine is well-cooked at Dessert Republic. Tasty noodles, fried chicken and sashimi can make a deep impression on you. Offering good tiramisu, vanilla ice cream and mango pudding is the unique characteristic of this place. Great coffee, milk tea or ice tea will make your meal better and you'll surely come back.

This spot is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. But the Yelp rating for this confectionary restaurant isn't high, as it can be seen from reviews.

Ordered one banana crepe & one mango crepe. Came out to $20 for both. Crepes really lacked flavor & were just stuffed when vanilla ice cream. You couldn't taste Nutella or mango. They weren't presented very pretty either. I usually go to Genki Crepes but was in the area so I decided to stop by and try this spot out. The customer service was fine, but the quality & presentation of the desserts was lacking. Definitely overpriced.
I came here for the crepes. I love me some crepes. Based on the Dessert Republic site my wife and I felt like this would be an awesome place to get dessert - its the in restaurant's name! Located toward the parking structure it is adjacent to, there is an odd location to to Dessert Republic. The place is very clean and there was not too many people on a Sunday evening. Their menu is more than just crepes, mainly a dessert place; sundaes milkshakes etc. On a two sided menu, the desserts take up one whole side. On the other side there is a basic menu of sandwiches; the only appealing thing on the menu other than dessert was the popcorn chicken. We will have to try this next time. Onto the food - ahem, crepes. They were fantastic! I got the chocolate crepe and added banana to it. The only major bummer - but makes sense - is that the majority of their crepes have nutella in it. For most people this is fantastic, while for someone who is allergic to all nuts, it becomes an issue. Not a big deal since you can somewhat customize your order. My wife ended up getting what I initially wanted - a simple chocolate (nutella) w/ banana crepe. She ended up enjoying her crepe and I definitely loved eating mine. I would love to come back here. Although limited for the non-nut friendly person, I enjoyed coming here.
I have been going here for the last six years and it never ceases to disappoint. With crepes, traditional Chinese desserts, and food shaped like other food (they have a dish of "sashimi" made from fruit and tiramisu that looks like a potted plant), it is an amazing place to go. The servers there are all very friendly and will also help explain anything on the menu and all the ingredients.Besides the ceiling painted to resemble the sky and the decor of feeling like you are in China, each table has a placard with buttons that make it very easy to receive service. Not to mention, the food always arrives quickly. My favorite dish there is the Green Wonder, but they also have fantastic garlic noodles, and be sure to try their Tofu with Black Sesame or Tofu with Red Bean!
