The most special place we were in Greece. You can see the owner's affection for his restaurant. It was a great experience, the food was very good and the atmosphere very traditional, highly recommended. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Diporto was a hidden gem, such a nice experience that i came twice. It a basement taverna that is quite easy to miss from the street level, but once you found it and walk down the steps, you're taken back in time. I love the ethos of the place, that you'll be sat sometimes next to a random person. I love that the food is whatever the chef is cooking on the day, and the whole place has so much character. The food has a familiar feel to it, its like a grandma has cooked for you. Healthy food, the fasoulia (big butter beans) was really nice, and the chickpeas and small sardine fish. Their homemade white wine also cuts through all the flavours, its surprisingly refreshing. Great experience, definitely go. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Bean Soup of the Day, Sardines, White Beans Soup, Greek Salad
