Unfortunately the service was terrible, the food was good and so was the atmosphere, but the guy who served us was terrible, he was kind of annoyed, and when he went to remove the plates of food, he dropped remains of fish on my jeans, which which left a stain on me and I had to go outside with a large, very visible stain and the worst thing is that he didn't apologize and didn't offer me anything to clean it up. I used to visit the place two or three times a month, because the food is good, but since then I haven't gone again, the guy who didn't serve is the one with a lot of tattoos. Are you looking for a place to fill your belly in the center of Madrid? Do not look any further! I present to you the Taberna dNorte, a little corner of delights strategically located between Plaza del Sol and Gran Vía. Imagine buying your lottery ticket at Doña Manolita and enjoying a beer and some tapas. Table reservation is a smart move. People flock here to taste the classic tapas: Russian salad, patatas bravas and croquettes with ham and parmesan. Accompanied by a beer. The croquettes are creamy, the patatas bravas are a visual feast and the salad is a winner. Although, between you and me, there are better kibbles out there. If you are still hungry, you can try the dNorte classics board. Grilled squid, marinated wings and beef meatballs. I won't say they are bad tapas, but they are not the stars of the show. My advice: go back to the Russian salad! In short, Taberna dNorte is affordable, but it won't blow your palate away.
