Everything is so good. Definitely we'll come back
First food was good. However things fell apart before that. My husband was served his lunch but there was an error with mine before it was served. I sat the for approximately 15 minutes looking at my husband's food. He didn't start eating and was waiting for me. Eventually my lunch to arrive and it was very hot so I knew it was freshly made. Luckily I got a 50% discount on my lunch. There was only one table of six besides us. Glad the food was good. Not sure we'll come back.
Let me start with saying that finding authentic Mexican food without having to make the trek to Homestead is incredibly difficult. I discovered El Donkey Mexican Grill through the Hot and New section and I completely understand the hype. Upon entering the restaurant you are immediately greeted and allowed to seat yourself. The walls are decorated with traditional hats and scarves without being too over the top. While we read over the menu the waitress brought us warms chips with two different salsas. One was milder and more of a pico de gallo, while the green one had a delicious kick to it. I went for lunch with my girlfriend so we decided to order several menu items in order to get a good idea of the quality of the food. We ordered the lemonade and horchata first, both arrived quickly and were quite refreshing. We each ordered and entree and shared a third one as an appetizer. I personally had the Carne Asada, it was juicy and cooked to just the right amount at medium. It was accompanied by guacamole, a green enchilada, refried beans and rice. The entree we shared was the Tacos Al Pastor, which is what I was most excited to try. The flavor on this dish was spot on. My girlfriend had Las Tres Marias, which was composed of three different chicken enchiladas, I recommend the green and red ones specifically. All in all, I was extremely satisfied with the food and service, I will definitely be returning in the future.
