would go again. dumplings good. pork buns great.
TL:DR - great comfort food that includes pot stickers, soup dumplings, and BBQ pork buns. Small interior, hard to fit parties of 4+. Beers on top are mostly Japanese brands. I am a HUGE dumpling fan in general, and this place really hits the spot. It's super unassuming and I only found it because they had a couple of people eating out front. There's no sign except for a small "dumpling" sign hanging on the door. But this place was probably one of my favorite meals in Australia. The dumpling skins were thicker (my personal preference) and pan fried perfectly with the crispy portion running up the side of the dumpling. We also got the soup dumplings, shallot pancake, and BBQ pork bun. The soup dumplings were delicious with a great umami flavored soup. The shallot pancake wasn't what we were expecting, it wasn't a flaky scallion pancake, but rather a deep fried dough in the shape of a large ribbon decal. It tasted alright, but was the weakest dish we got. The BBQ pork bun was solid and was about as good as any dim sum place around. I'm regards to the interior, it was quite small, and you'd be hard pressed to bring a party of more than 4. They do have seating upstairs, which is nice bar seating overlooking the first floor and front row seats to the movie they have playing on the wall. When I was there they were playing the newest ip man movie. Beer wise, it's mostly Japanese beers on top.
The homemade hot sauce is amazing. Best dumplings in Sydney.
