Roast beef was cold. Roast potatoes were cold. Carrots were cold. Gravy wasn't even that hot to be honest. Brought back to the carvery where briefly spoke to a manager who directed me toward the chef.

Chef said because of the weather outside (we're inside a very warm pub) that the food is all a bit cold. And I quote "I'll blast it in the microwave for you, I can do you a fresh plate and blast it if you like"

I said I don't really want a microwaved dinner and was told (again I quote) "it'll be fine it won't take much taste away at all"

Beyond shocked and the manager just standing there hearing all this.

Wife's Cesar salad may has we'll have been Cesar soup. Was swimming in sauce. And €17.50 for a vegetarian Cesar salad.

2 x.servers walked past our clearly finished plates 8 times looking at them before clearing them. Weren't even asked was everything ok when the 2 X plates were barely touched.

Never eating here again.

Kia oraVisiting Dublin from NZ, we grabbed the chance to meet some dear friends. We were recommended the Eden House Gastro Bar as it was convenient off the M50 for two people coming from different directions outside Dublin, and two more travelling by bus from central Dublin. We had an early dinner from the a la carte menu which suited everyone. Staff were friendly and efficient and checked in on us frequently. We were having a great time until one of our group became very unwell and needed medical assistance. Here the staff and management moved into top gear with their exemplary customer service. Thank you all for your care and support throughout the stressful experience. Your help made such a difference.Ngā mihinuiJacquie

Had a disappointing evening - paid for 12 pints and then had an
Issue over price of food - the management didn’t meet me half way and said I was belligerent and suggested I come back when I didn’t have drink on me - drinking there for over 7 years / have consistently tipped staff generously for service - lesson learned - I will now continue to frequent (every pub needs customers after Covid) - but v dissapointed with “zero tolerance” approach to my reasonable approach - I run a business myself and there is always middle ground if the business wants to find it
