Another covid-19 victim. Very sad. Perhaps when and if life returns to "normal," there will be a new venue from this talented partnership of chef and owner.

Three of us went to Eleven Forty Nine for the first time for brunch and we would not go back. The best part of the experience was the excellent service! The hostess was very friendly when we walked in, our waitress was pleasant and attentive and the extra staff clearing plates and filling water were very friendly. The hollandaise sauce on the cook to order eggs Benedict was tasty but the eggs were over cooked. We ordered cook to order pasta and after three attempts they didn't get the order right so we finally said Uncle! The clam chowder was not good, it tasted like flour and water. The highlights were the cook to order French toast, carved ham, cold salad bar and desserts. The mimosa and Bloody Mary were also very good.
