American owner very rude to customers. Heard him twice ask an Indian family having dinner if the one cocktail that they ordered was all they were going to drink. They were chatting and enjoying their meal, only to be constantly disturbed by him trying to sell them more drinks. He also repeatedly spoke loudly to another customer, repeating his order to him as if the guy was an idiot. Owner needs to go to customer service classes or stay out the back. Other staff very friendly and accommodating.
I have to say as a world traveler I eat at an untold amount of establishments. I have been traveling overseas and eating as much as I can since I was a few years old and Enjoy is a place that sticks out for me. The food is great and consistent. It's funny the word consistent isn't normally used in food reviews, but it's the key to any great restaurant whether its a 9 seat Michelin star dumpling shop or the likes of chef Eric's Le Bernardin (I have also had the pleasure of dining there multiple times). The truth about enjoy is that all of the food is just as good as the first time you have had it. Every time. The menu is quite expansive as well. This is something that I usually frown upon because it's impossible to be good at everything. Many restaurants take to a quick suicide due to menu size. I am pleasantly surprised that I have nothing but good experiences here. The Thai food is quite incredible and the cocktails are to die for. I have never had a better Mojito! Honestly if you see it recommended through other reviews on trip advisor I would recommend you eat it. Don't take the cheap touristy route and go with a burger. This is a domain ruled by western restaraunts and particularly my own home state of Texas. Honestly though if you want a little taste of America with your dish I would highly recommend a side of fries! As a main course I would highly recommend any of the stir fry options! Add a fried egg for a umami showdown that can only be described by the exclamation of "Umai!". On top of the great food the staff is excellent and the owner and his wife do their utmost best to make you feel at home. Unlike other places in the area they do not try to rush you out the door which allows you to fully be absorbed in the laid back air conditioned room accented by the sounds of great jazz hits. Especially when you have had a drink or two. This is one of my new favorite places to unwind in Bangkok and lucky for me it's a few minutes walk from my condo. I would recommend this place to anyone. Especially if you like a relaxed atmosphere. I have never felt so at home. Now if you will excuse me....I think I need another mojito. Oh! Don't forget the homemade ice cream! I would highly recommend combining the banana and rocky road.
Being from SF, CA and our first time in Bangkok, this was the first restaurant we ate at that didn't make us ill. . It was so good we had to come again. Portions are larger than most received anywhere giving you a sense that you are getting your money's worth. They offer a LARGE VARIETY AND DIETARY OPTIONS FOR EVERYONE. More than likely will be able to accommodate your needs because everything is fresh and made to order. So please be patient and enjoy their local or import beers/ liquors.. Enjoy BBK offers more alcohol variety than most restaurants and bars in highly populated drinking areas of the city...for better prices. They have tequila... Patron & others...that says a lot in BKK. Lebua couldn't even dish the good tequila. A lot of their fruits and vegetables come from their garden. And Mac and his wife uses them to make fun stuff like every flavor vegan ice cream you can think of, infused liquor and of course dishes. INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SEATING always a plus mixed with chill good vibes.Enjoy BKK also provides clean rooms/guesthouses for rent. Clean and less than 10 min walking distance to 2 BTS skytrains, right in between Surasak and Saphin Taksin stations. Less than 10 min walk to Chao Phraya river and piers. Right around the corner from The Lebua Hotel and The Shangrila. Depending on how fast you walk, Chinatown is about a 35min walk. Lots of stuff to do and see in the area at all times of day and night.Mac the owner is a wonderful soul, who gave us lots of great advice during our visits. Enjoy BKK has been our sanctuary. Not just because of the amazing food, value, and location, but for the genuine and generous souls that keep this place going. If you are ever in the area feeling overwhelmed or under... This is a great place to figure out what to do next over great local beer (Not Singha, Chang, San Miguel, or Heineken.. although those are here too) or imported liquors like the kind back home. I will always be back the next time I am in BKK.
