Came here for a business meeting today. I usually don’t have the time for reviews and don’t review a place unless it is exceptionally epic or exceptionally disappointing. So we’re here for a business meeting today at 1pm. The waitress asked us what we would like to order and we ordered our coffees and teas then she interrupted our meeting 20kg a in to ask us if it is ok for her to give us the bill now and pay for it now so that she could go on her lunch break. So question really is is this an individuals personal choice, rule, policy? Or is this the policy vetted by Byzantium and then by default by The Taj Group. Sorry but I don’t see anything hospitable about this. Firstly there is the fact that she interrupts our meeting to hand us the cheque while I’ve taken 2 sips of my coffee. 2nd there’s the missed opportunity of us maybe ordering lunch. But that didn’t matter cause she needed to take her lunch break. I’ve no issues with her having her lunch but surely there must be someone else who can manage the bill in her absence or is the restaurant dependent on just that one waitress? Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: AED 50–100 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
