I tried Ernie's pizza twice. In my experience pizza is not consistent - pizza with carbonara toppings was different on both occasions, once it had an egg added, once it didn't. Margherita is good, but the sauce doesn't have much flavour, it's quite bland. Pepperoni pizza - on both occasions pepperoni was undercooked. This place is generally good, tasty, but imo the base is much better than the toppings. Pizza base is probably the best I had in months, but I'm disappointed by the toppings and lack of flavour in the tomato sauce. Overall, it still is a good lunch option. Hi Gabriella,Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed the pizzas and really appreciate the feedback on both the dough and the toppings. We try hard to be consistent, but we're aware that when things get really busy at weekends we sometimes struggle with the limited space we have. We're in the process of securing more prep and storage space to help with this.We hope to see you again soon!If you'd like to give any more info on your experience please do email us at info@wildpizza.co.uk.Thanks!

We bought the lunch deal (which is great value), it was so good we had to go back for more! The base is crisp, but not too chewy. The carbonara was our favourite, but the Margherita with a really generous amount of Parmesan grated over the top was great too. For £9.95 you get two massive slices and a cold can of drink. Good atmosphere down there in the sun too. Would recommend. Gah! There's a reason nobody puts honey on actual carbonara... because it would be disgusting. So please take it off my pizza. The pizza itself (without being doused in sugar) wasn't bad but really not worth the money. It's not gross but it doesn't stack up against most of the other places at Wapping Wharf (I don't know how to reply to your response so this is just to say that I didn't order pepperoni pizza... if it wasn't honey, what was the sweet sauce that you added? It wasn't very nice!)

Hi Sarah,Just to clarify, the hot honey is on the pepperoni pizza, not the carbonara, and it’s clearly listed on the menu. It’s also a well-established combination and one of our best-sellers.If it’s not your thing, you’re always welcome to ask for it without. We’re happy to accommodate.Leaving a 2-star review for something that was clearly listed feels a bit unfair, but we appreciate the feedback.Ernie's(Thanks for your follow-up. When we spoke on the phone, you mentioned ordering both a pepperoni and a carbonara slice. The pepperoni comes with hot honey, which would explain the sweet element you tasted, we don’t add anything sweet to the carbonara. If it wasn’t to your taste, you’re always welcome to ask for it without, or we’d have happily swapped it for you at the time)
