We found this café on Google and decided to visit because of its impressive 4.8-star rating. When we arrived at around 3pm today, it was nice and quiet, and we were warmly welcomed by the barista. My husband ordered his usual oat latte, while I went for an oat matcha latte. We took a seat by the window bar and, just by listening to the way the barista was steaming the milk, I already had a feeling the drinks were going to be excellent—and I was right! The oat latte was incredible, and I could immediately tell that the matcha was ceremonial grade from its smooth, premium taste and vibrant flavour. We really enjoyed our little coffee catch-up while people-watching from the window. The atmosphere was cosy, peaceful, and relaxing—the perfect spot to slow down and enjoy a quality drink. Espresso Kitchen is hands-down the best coffee place in Bournemouth. The venue itself has a cozy, homely atmosphere not found elsewhere in town, matched equally by the quality of the coffee and the people who work here. Pricing is incredibly fair, not just for Bournemouth but in general, and service is excellent. Tomas is immensely passionate about both Espresso Kitchen in itself and the craft of the coffee & Hunter is absolutely lovely. Both are a joy to chat with - not a day goes by when I'm here without an excellent conversation. Before I went to Espresso Kitchen, I didn't even drink coffee at all - and now I'm a regular in there most days. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this place as the go-to coffee location in Bournemouth.
