Food was actually quite nice. Reason I give one star is because we went for a meal for a friend of my partner’s birthday where we were drastically overcharged. All the while, discounts were issued to her friend and 2 friends of her friend. Seems like we were overcharged to compensate the discount. Didn’t challenge it at the time as just completed a 12 hour shift and wanted to go home and go to bed instead of arguing. Happy to send over what we had from the menu along along with what we were charged, preempting an unprofessional reply from the “proprietor” as seems to historically be the case. Dear Mr Haynes, We're very glad that you enjoyed your meal at Everyday Thai however there's obviously been a misunderstanding regarding your bill and so please allow me to explain. You were one of a couple in a party of 12 and as requested when your group arrived, the final bill was split between various individuals/couples some of whom ordered takeaway at the end of their meal. There is a 10% discount for takeaway meals at Everyday Thai and this was applied where appropriate. Please also note that there is a 10% service charge for guests dining in the restaurant. Despite this information being prominently displayed in numerous locations, it appears that you may not have been aware of this at the time. We've had an opportunity to speak with others in your party and as expected, they confirmed that there were no discrepancies with the bill(s) issued at the end of the meal. You most certainly were not overcharged Mr Haynes and any suggestion to the contrary is based on incorrect assumptions and a fundamental misunderstanding of the charges. Our records indicate that your bill was calculated correctly based on the order that you placed. The total corresponds accurately with our menu prices and applicable charges. We had takeout from everyday Thai restaurant we were greeted by friendly staff who gave us menus and promptly took our orders. The food was absolutely delightful very fresh and authentic we ordered chicken sesame toast, Thai fish cakes, chicken pad Thai and papaya salad and an added bonus is that this restaurants serves halal food! Beautiful place to sit down to eat also will be making a swift return!
