We were out on errands and of course needing some lunch on the way home. I kept seeing Express Kabob Grill on my Yelp search results so I figured, why not? In short, not a bad option for kabobs but I wouldn't say it was "express." I N S I D E There's kind of two sides to the place. One more sit down and the other just a to-go area. Plenty of seating inside as well as outside if you want to dine there. No one was there when we dropped by. O R D E R I N G There was an ordering kiosk but when we wanted to order a 2 kabob combo, that wasn't on the menu, so we had to order at the cashier instead. We were asked what kind of rice we wanted of course the one with raisins and carrots sounded delicious, but we didn't know it came at a premium (+$2). It would've been nice to have been told that it would be extra. ~ Manto ~ It looked great, but when eating it, I was a little disappointed to know it was just filled with just some veggies considering we were asked veggie or meat. I was expecting it to be filled with meat, but I guess the tomato-based sauce was where the meat was. ~ Chicken Kabob ~ It was a little dry but seasoned well. I would get this again as on option. ~ Beef Shami Kabob ~ The beef shami was like a grounded seasoned patty. It was fine, again a little dry. I think I prefer normal kabobs more. ~ Rice ~ Probably what I enjoyed the most out of everything. Slightly sweet, plentiful and went well with the meat. So I guess the extra $2 was well worth it. ~ Salad ~ Was just a bit of ice berg lettuce and cucumber. The chutney was a nice compliment to the meats rather than the actual salad. S E R V I C E There's not really anyone at the front, but someone does pop up to say hi to ask if you need any help or questions. We easily paid by card. We were told it would take roughly 15-17 minutes, so we ended up going to grab boba relatively nearby to pass the time. When we came back it was still not ready. I would say it took roughly 25 minutes to get our food from when we ordered. O V E R A L L It's a fair option to get your kabobs. I would stick to the chunks of meat versus the shamis. Go ahead and splurge on the rice unless you don't like raisins or carrots. I'm a little lucky as I have sumac at home and I ended up sprinkling a bunch of it on what I was eating. They do have sumac sprinkled on the dishes, but I like my sumac everywhere! I would probably skip the manto. Other than that, just make sure to order ahead as it did take some time to get the food. But definitely try them out!

Thank you for your comments … we do appreciate constructive comments as we move forward in setting up our brand. I will comment a little as well on the points you raised:

Inside, we are changing out floor plan to a QSR and togo section as it is and a large buffet food hall …

Ordering, We will probably keep the self-ordering kiosk as option in addition to cashier and buffet…

Manto, our base Manto is always vegetarian to have an option for customers with vegetarian preferences, however, we will top them with meat sauce for meat lovers and Vegetarian sauce for veggie lovers.

Chicken Kabob, our chicken kabob is the most juiciest kabob with highest rating … I am sorry if they have cooked yours too much and dried it.

Shami Kabob, our beef Shami kabob is generally a little dry because we do not add extra fat in the meat …

Rice, our menu does indicate $2.00 more for Kabuli Rice (Rice w Carrot and raisins)

Salad, I agree our salad is just a simple complimentary salad.  We will be offering Salata and Tabuli in the future on every day basis.

Service, as every other restaurant we do have problem locating seasoned restaurant employee.  We thank you everyone for understanding and being patient with us.  Because we make Manto fresh for every order, it does take longer especially when there are other Manto orders as well.  We are trying to improve that to make sure we serve our valued customers efficiently.

We will be offering and adding chicken, Lamb and Vegetarian plates that will add to our diverse menu.

Thank you
EKG Team.
