We checked out Fable and Spirit after celebrating a friend's birthday on a boat in Newport. The shopping center Fable and Spirit is in is super cute and a fun area to walk around. Here are my reviews: Service: 1/5-  They were super snobby about us sharing plates/not ordering drinks, and it took a while for food to come out. Even worse, they forgot one friend's meal till the end when everyone else had cleared their plates!! Ambiance: 4/5- We sat outside, but the inside looked nice, they have heat lamps outdoors which I appreciated. Presentation of Food- 4/5- Food was visually appealing. Taste of Food- 3/5- We tried the fish and chips and the BLUEBERRY MEYER LEMON BRIOCHE BREAD PUDDING for dessert. The bread pudding is amazing, 5/5. The cod in the fish and chips was good and I enjoyed the curry sauce it went with, but the French fries were extremely disappointing- they were clearly fries from the freezer and had no crunch. Overall, not an awful experience, but I probably wouldn't be back- unless it was for that bread pudding

I wish that I could write about the food as I was REALLY looking forward to trying it, but I can write this solely on the service. We had a reservation for brunch at 11:15 am and we were seated right away and offered some water. That was the last time we had anyone acknowledge us. We never got to give our drink order, which was very disappointing as I was so ready to try the F&S spritz.  There were two hostesses at the stand, at least three bartenders standing around and I saw one server, who was taking care of the tables outside. The entire experience was unacceptable. We gave it 20 minutes and decided to head over to Malibu Farms, where we sat in the bar area, ordered a delicious lunch and had a top notch server (Addison). I took some pics of the bar area and the restaurant at Fable & Sprit, but that's all I have to post. This was a dismal display of service today. Very underwhelmed.

You absolutely must get the Cracked Pepper Bucatini! I had that and other superb dishes and drinks at Fable & Spirit with a friend. As an added plus, their patio is dog-friendly! The food: -Cracked Pepper Bucatini (5/5)- The pasta is homemade and the creamy sauce makes the dish really come together. Although it is a heavy dish, I wish we ordered two of these so I didn't have to share. -Fish & Chips (3.5/5)- The cod was perfect- juicy interior, crispy exterior.  Unfortunately, I thought the dish didn't have enough fries and was on the salty side. -Steamed Prince Edward Island Mussels (4/5)- More bread was needed to soak up all of the delicious white wine broth! The mussels were good but the broth was the star of the dish. We also ordered two of their alcoholic drinks, which was the perfect refreshing compliment to our meal.
