First time here and it didn't disappoint. Service by our waitress Samantha was terrific. She was attentive and friendly. Food was terrific. My husband and I shared baked clams, best we've had in a long time, small ceaser salad enough to feed four! We also had the bucatini carbonara and the tuscan steak cooked perfectly medium rare. For dessert he had the adobo to and I had the pistachio gelato cake with graham cracker crust and caramel drizzle. Everything was delicious, we'll be back again. The only reason I gave four instead of five stars is the ambiance is a little too dark and the noise level was high for a restaurant. They have a full bar area right in front as you walk in so that may be the reason for the additional decimals.

This is a great place for a date, or to grab drinks and some small plates. I wouldnt recommend it for a full sit down dinner though. They have a really cute space, looks a little old worldly, which is cool. The bartenders and wait staff definitely know what they are doing, and they have great recommendations, and help you to decide on entrees and choices. They also have tried the items on the menu and are knowledgeable about what makes the dish work and offer substitutions if required. I came with a lot of vegetarians for their tasting menu, which is a really good deal, lots of interesting choices of food. For me, the bass was outstanding and I really liked the "fried rice" which comes in a little fried pouch and the flavors of this were so interesting, I would definitely get this again. I also liked the gnocci, but I would say it was a little chewier than it should be- tasted great though! for drinks, I had the Modern Times (highly recommend this) it has a fresh citric edge and is not sweet. We sat downstairs where they have larger tables with more seating options- the upstairs was smaller tables and the bar. I recommend making reservations, especially for the weekends.

It's super easy to find carby, fried & processed food in NYC.  Heck, every street corner offers you the opportunity. Likewise there are myriad options for fine dining on plates of rich meats & seafood. Finding healthier meals of skillfully prepared ingredients harvested fresh from the farm is much more challenging but so worth the effort when you sit down to just such a Feast. While our family was 2 blocks away richly forging themselves at Gotham we were infinitely more content here. 4 of us started off with Carrot Latkes, Radicchio salad, Mushroom Toast & the cheese board. I have 2 regrets from that decision That I didn't order the Celery Root Bisque & that I didn't order 2 of everything! We loved every bite & could literally have done it all over immediately. For the big plates my wife & I went simple, splitting the burger & Cacio E Pepe. The fries were awesome & the egg on the pasta perfectly prepared. It's on this course however that I'd beg the kitchen to make 2 minor improvements. The red onion on the burger was overly pungent, an ice bath would've allowed it a more harmonious spot in the sandwich. The Pepe stands for pepper & it was surprisingly absent. Looking forward to our next trip to NYC & another Feast.
